The courses of each degree program at the Slovak Agricultural University are delivered in Slovak language. For studying whole degree programs and to be registered at SPU as a full time student, the international student needs to be able to follow the courses in Slovak language.

Tuition fee for one academic year of undergraduate program is 3.000,- - 3.500,- USD.

To receive basic knowledge and preparation to study at Slovak universities the student has the possibility to take the course ”Slovak for Foreigners” with duration of one year. For more detailed information and application formalities apply to:

International full-time students coming to our University have to fulfil the following requirements before September 1:

Send the fulfilled SPU Application form for International Full Time Student with following attachments:

  1. For Bachelor or Master level of study valid copy of the school leaving certificate of the secondary school (high school) in Slovak or English
  2. For Doctoral level of study a valid copy of Diploma certificate of finishing higher education in Slovak or English.
  3. Copy of tuition fee payment for academic year (details will be given, after Dean Office decision, directly to your address shown on your application form).
  4. Certificate of negative HIV test.
  5. Copy of health insurance valid for academic year.
  6. Before entering Slovakia, you must receive permit for long stay in our country. (detailed information can be found at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic of your home country and on this internet address).
